PX90 Or P90X Does It Matter? A BeachBody Review

BeachBody and PX90 Make You Work Hard For Your Body

Yes….I know the name is not PX90.  But a guys gotta do what a guys gotta do.  P90X is actually one of the premier products in this great companies line of fitness classes.  And if I am going to do this BeachBody review any justice I need to make sure I talk about a few of them here.

PX90

I will say that I really didn’t have to do all that much research to conduct this review.  And that is because I have been using PX90 (I mean P90X) for a while now.  At least until I retired from the Army.  These days I exercise when I want to versus because I have too.  I know its kinda lazy, but hey I’m retired right?

So lets get to this BeachBody review and get our PX90 on alright?!

PX90 And The Other Beachbody Products

No honest, or good, Beachbody review would be complete without taking a look at the product line of the company.  For the purposes of mine I won’t go into the supplements that are available.  After all every supplement is different, just like every person, and they all don’t work the same way to everybody.

But I will do is examine a couple of the exercise programs that are available to you as a customer.

PX90

P90X (Basic, Deluxe, and Extreme)

When Carl Daikeler started the company over 11 years ago, his company offered a lot of things.  Everything from supplements to fitness programs.  But in the mainstream nothing was more of an icon fitness hit as Tony Horton’s P90X program (PX90 is what the excited call it lol).  After a great example of marketing through the use of television and other types of ad’s, the program really did well and continues to gain popularity.

The program offers a fitness calendar that will take you through 90 days of some pretty intense training.  It also comes with a nutrition guide (if your one that can stick to those) and some samples of the Beachbody supplements.

Based off a lot of cardio, the program does really work well to lose weight and get into pretty decent shape if you stick to it.  You will need to get a few weights and a pull up bar to take full advantage of the whole training program.  But all in all most people enjoy doing the exercises.  The best part is that if you have an iPod or iPad you can find a way to put the video’s on them.  I did this and completed the program at the gym.

When you buy it you can get the basic version which pretty much come with just the DVD’s and a book.  Or you go all out and the Extreme version which comes with a big bottle of supplement drink (I thought it tasted pretty bad) and the pull up bar for your house.

Here is a great video where you can see some of the exercises.

If you don’t like getting pitched new stuff all the time I suggest you buy it here on Amazon.  That way you can save yourself a bit of money and avoid the aggravation of being offered a new program all the time.

Insanity

This program was created for BeachBody by a guy named Shawn T.  The program is much like the P90X program, but with a couple major differences.

One, you don’t need any additional equipment what-so-ever.  Which is a major draw for someone who wants to workout at home and doesn’t want to buy a bunch of weights or ruin their door frames doing pull-ups (yeah that’s referring to me).

Second, if your not one of those guys or gals who wants to get big and all muscle bound then this program is for you.

Based off what Shawn T calls max interval training, this program will make you a cardio machine.

I know a lot of guys and gals who have lost a lot of weight using this program.  Not to mention, they have increased their strength and endurance as well.

This one can also be purchased on Amazon if you want.

A quick note about buying on Amazon though, both the P90X and Insanity programs are a bit more expensive there.  So you can get them on the BeachBody website if you want to be a member of their “club” and save some money.

BeachBody Coaching Business

All right, lets assume that you have bought the program and completed one of them.

Now your sporting this hot body that makes the opposite sex swoon over you.

And all your friends are jealous.  Your co-workers are all wondering who your personal trainer is.

Or your in the gym and people are coming up to asking you to help them achieve the same results.

Why not make a bit of money by doing just that?

That is where the Team BeachBody Coaching Program comes in.

The coaching program allows you to make money on referrals.  You get paid when people buy Beachbody products and Team Beachbody Club memberships through your website. You can also earn cash bonuses based on your team’s sales if team building is your thing.  It only costs $39.99 to start a Beachbody business. That includes your first month’s Business Services Fees and your Coach Business Kit, which comes with everything you need to begin earning income.

Now let me say this.

Marketing is not easy, and yes your going to have to do it.

So if you don’t like the idea of talking to other people.

Or you don’t like the idea of running your own business just stay away from the coaching program.

But if you have a desire to supplement your income, this is a pretty good way to do it.

  5. I tried P90X (I mean PX90 :-)) for one day. I think I spent 90% of the time watching these folks on the DVD w/my mouth hanging wide open. When I heard that Insanity came out, I thought, “You must be pretty insane to do that!” Grr…. I wish it were just as fun and easy to lose weight as it were to gain it!
